From May 10 to 12,2026, the inaugural Asian Animation and Game Production Technology and Equipment Exhibition concluded successfully in Guangzhou. The event focused on animation production equipment, motion capture systems, game development software/hardware, virtual digital humans, and the entire value chain of anime and manga IP derivatives, attracting industry associations and leading enterprises from around the world. The Korea Cultural Content Licensing Association (KOCLA) served as a key overseas partner for this edition.
As a core platform for South Korea's IP licensing, animation, and gaming industries, KOCLA brought together leading Korean animation studios, game developers, and IP management companies for a unified exhibition. The event showcased South Korea's mature content production ecosystem and facilitated targeted connections with domestic suppliers of motion capture equipment, rendering workstations, animation software, and gaming hardware. The dedicated supply-demand matchmaking session received strong participation, with Chinese and Korean enterprises engaging in in-depth discussions on equipment procurement, collaborative animation production, and cross-border licensing of game IPs.
KOCLA's participation in this exhibition marks a significant breakthrough in the organization's overseas industry resource network. The organizers revealed that both parties have signed a long-term strategic cooperation framework, under which a dedicated Korean joint exhibition area will be established at every future event to regularly host industry forums, project roadshows, and procurement matchmaking activities. Leveraging KOCLA's network of over 140 cultural and creative enterprises in South Korea, the platform will continuously connect exhibitors with international buyers and content partners, establishing itself as a core hub for technology exchange and transactions in animation and game production across Asia.
